Bio

Well I got into photography in 2000 while I was attending college at Henderson State University.  I was a shy history major looking for a way to express myself for class projects and presentations.  It didn't take long for me to get into documentary film making, to keep me from having to talk in front of people.  While I did this all through college, I found that I had a passion and a good eye for still photography.  Starting with family and friends, modeling photography became second nature for me.  My lovely wife and co-owner Misty, is where I really fed my passion.  She was a model when we got married in 1993.  The two of us sort of taught each other what looks good and what doesn't work.

I officially began doing modeling shoots in 2005 while I lived in Vinita Oklahoma.  Now I've done more than I can count.  Our office and studio is now in Poteau Oklahoma, where we have found great success not only as a modeling photographer but in all genres of photography.  We now operate a small modeling agency called Avow Photography & Modeling in Poteau Oklahoma, just 25 minutes from Ft. Smith Arkansas.  I love it, there's no greater reward than seeing the look on a clients face when they see their photos from a shoot we've done.

A little general information about me is I have been married for the past 20 years to the same wonderful woman, we have 3 kids, Timmy 18, Hayden 16, and Shyeanne 13.  I served in the Army for 7 years and am now a disabled veteran.  I have a bachelors degree in history with a minor in the German language.  I've been to grad school also leaving a few hours to complete my masters in Liberal Arts.  I have three passions now.  One, of course is Photography, then, making jewelry, and last but not least, is spending time with my wonderful family.
